A Liver's best friend: Detox, Lose Weight and Stay Hangover FREE

Posted by Lucie Petts on Tuesday, June 25, 2013,
A food supplement I often prescribe in my clinic is....
 MILK THISTLE
Sometimes I come across patients who like a drink or ten.  This wonderful plant can prevent liver destruction and enhance liver function, coupled with the ability to stimulate the growth of new liver cells to replace old damaged cells.

Milk thistle increases the production of bile, which reduces fatty deposits in the liver, thus aiding detoxification and weight control.

Milk thistle can be found in every health store and can b...

Whats the Point?

Posted by Lucie Petts on Tuesday, June 25, 2013,
The Point is 'Hegu'.

It is helpful for all things pain related and is especially effective for headaches.

DO NOT APPLY PRESSURE WHILST PREGNANT AS IT CAN BE USED TO INDUCE LABOR.

The Claim: Applying pressure to a dime-sized spot located between the thumb and forefinger can calm anxiety and pain, headaches and dental pain. Acupuncturists treat this spot with pins.

The Verdict: Of the more than 300 Chinese acupuncture points, hegu in clinical practice seems to be one of the most useful—particul...

Stick your tongue out at yourself

Posted by Lucie Petts on Thursday, June 20, 2013,

Our bodies are clever and give us signals all the time.

For example our body gives us pain to notify us that something is wrong!

There is facial diagnosis, foot diagnosis, ear diagnosis, hand diagnosis and more..

Our bodies are so clever and they are trying to warn us all the time so we can quickly do something about it .

A Neglected Health Practice! Takes seconds to do!

Posted by Lucie Petts on Wednesday, June 19, 2013,

Give yourself an ear rub a day! It rubs the pain away!

If you take a look at the picture below you can see that the shape of an ear actually looks like an upside down foetus.

Giving your ears a bit of attention regularly stimulates acu- points and gives the whole immune system a boost. This works in the same way as reflexology.
(Different parts of the foot correspond with different parts of the body).

You can be even more specific!

If suffering from a headache rub the ear lobe.

Feeling anxious?
