EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE

Instructions

 

Whilst tapping the acupuncture point Si3 with your first two fingers, say aloud, ‘Even though I feel (insert emotion) I love and accept myself completely.’

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then, whilst tapping 10x each on the points below keep repeating the name of the emotion or belief, for example, saying ‘I feel anxious.’

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It does not matter which side of the body you use, or in what order you tap. By stating aloud the painful emotions whilst tapping will release the emotions, this is a different technique from the positive affirmations described earlier, the tapping is what makes the difference as you can ‘feel to heal’  the painful emotions whilst simultaneously transforming them.

 

Whilst doing this you may experience a release of emotions and cry. This may make you feel slightly worse to begin with as the emotions bubble up, but continue with your tapping until the troubling feelings are alleviated. This signals to the body and mind that you are aware of the messages they are giving you, and in doing so, lets the emotion travel through you and be released.
