About Lucie
I'm Lucie, owner of PinPoint Therapy in Gainsborough. I began working in the wellbeing industry in 2009 after completing my Bachelor of Science Degree with honours in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, I also trained in acupressure massage, cupping and moxabustion, which gave me a strong foundation in working with the body as a whole.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in the connection between the body, emotions, beliefs and the nervous system. I noticed how stress, trauma and old emotional patterns can affect both physical and emotional wellbeing, and this led me to explore additional approaches. I went on to train in Integral Eye Movement Therapy, a technique designed to help reduce the emotional charge connected to difficult memories and experiences. I also completed training in clinical hypnotherapy, Neuro- Linguistic Programming, Emotional Freedom Technique and guided therapeutic change work.
My approach today brings together over 15 years of client experience with body based therapy, emotional wellbeing work and nervous system informed support. Throughout my career, I have supported clients with a wide range of physical and emotional concerns, including stress, anxiety patterns, confidence, emotional overwhelm, women's health issues, pain and feeling stuck. What matters most to me is helping people feel heard, supported and more connected to themselves.
In 2022 I published High Vibrations: Balancing Mental Health from the Spiritual Perspective. Writing the book was deeply meaningful and cathartic for me, and it realised my childhood dream of becoming an author. I have since written Calm within Chaos: A Gentle Guide for Nervous System Healing and Living Well with Chronic Illness. Another poignant book for me to write as I had lived experience in navigating my own nervous system. It is a book I wish had been given to me when I began to have symptoms, and since have been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder. I manage to live a full life alongside having a chronic illness myself and the techniques I describe in the book is what help me be able to work, travel and be a parent.
I have also been fortunate enough to work in wonderful settings including The Old Farm Spa, The Rectory Spa, Riverside Clinic and Burton Waters Clinic, gaining valuable experience and meeting many inspiring people along the way.
I see myself as a lifelong student, always exploring new ideas, perspectives and ways of supporting healing. My passion is helping people feel better in themselves - gently, holistically and i a way that honours the connection between body, mind, emotions and the nervous system.
